Opening the doors to Rathskeller Bier Haus on January 10 of 2025 changed our lives in ways we never could have imagined. What started as a dream rooted in a love for German bier and culture quickly became something so much bigger—a place filled with laughter, stories, new friendships, and an incredible sense of community.
This past year, we’ve had the honor of meeting some truly amazing people. From first-time guests curious about German bier styles to regulars who now feel like family, every conversation, toast, and shared table has helped shape Rathskeller into what it is today. Along the way, we’ve learned so much—about German beer culture, traditions, and the joy that comes from slowing down, raising a glass, and connecting with others.
We were lucky enough to celebrate some unforgettable festivals, including Bockfest and Oktoberfest, bringing a little piece of Bavaria to Omaha. From traditional styles and seasonal brews to live music, games, and shared traditions, these events reminded us why we fell in love with German bier culture in the first place—and why it’s so special to share it with this community.
Most of all, we are in awe of Omaha. The support, encouragement, and genuine kindness we’ve received since day one has been overwhelming in the best way possible. Thank you to everyone who has walked through our doors, shared a beer with us, brought friends, celebrated milestones, and made Rathskeller feel like home.
As we look ahead, we’re excited for what’s to come and deeply grateful for what has been. Here’s to the memories made, the friendships formed, and many more years of raising a glass together.
Prost to our first year—and to the incredible Rathskeller family who made it all possible. 🍻
